The Mural Process: The first step to a mural is deciding on a design to be painted. Greg will first meet with clients to discuss their goal and what they envision. Measurements are taken, and some rough thumbnail sketches can be done to get a general idea of how the project will look. The next step is to sign a pricing agreement. Greg will design a mural to fit the client's price range. When the client signs the pricing agreement, one third of the final price is due (non-refundable), and a final sketch review will be scheduled. Next is the final sketch. The client will sign and date his/her approval of the final sketch, and the mural can be painted. Another option is a canvas mural. Canvas murals are simply murals painted on canvas and hung like wallpaper onto your walls. The advantage is that one can hold onto their mural if they move or sell their house. Pricing of canvas murals is the same as described above, plus the cost of canvas. Greg's on-site work hours can be discussed on an individual basis with each client. If a specific length of time is estimated for the job, any time over the estimate will not be charged to the client. Pricing: Mural pricing varies based on size and complexity of the design. For jobs costing less than $1000, half the cost will be paid up front, with the remaining half to be paid upon completion of work. For jobs over $1000, one-third of the cost will be due up front, with two-thirds due upon completion. Additional charges include: Travel: Greg Lynn Murals is based in Bridgeport, PA. Any job which requires travel of more than 25 miles from the studio will have an additional cost of $200 per $1000 of mural price. Additional Information: All original sketches as well as design ownership remain the property of Greg Lynn Murals. Any research materials provided by the client (personal photos, etc) will be returned. If a job is cancelled at any time before the mural is started but after the sketches have been signed and approved, the full deposit will not be refunded. At least one business day will be required after the sketch has been approved to collect necessary supplies. The area where the mural will be done will need to be prepared by the client. Preparation includes clearing out any furniture and/or clutter on floor in front of wall and removing any pictures or objects currently hanging on the wall to be painted. If nails are removed the holes will need to be spackled by the client prior to starting the job. All murals will be photographed for our business portfolio. This means that they may be included on any printed promotional material and on the company website. No personal information about location, etc. will be included. By signing the price quotation you agree to have the finished mural photographed and added to our portfolio. Other Services: Greg Lynn Murals can truly paint anything. Other popular items, for example, include name plaques and signs, shoes, guitar bodies, and portraits. If there is something you'd like painted that hasn't been mentioned, feel free to contact Greg. |
